Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Outpatient RDN to join our team at Adventist Health in Portland, Oregon. This is a full-time position that requires a strong passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a commitment to ongoing education and professional growth.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring outpatient nutrition counseling services, conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments and developing personalized diet plans. They will also provide expert guidance and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and screenings to identify patients' nutritional needs and develop targeted interventions
  • Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition plans tailored to individual patients' needs and preferences
  • Provide expert counseling and education to patients, families, and healthcare teams on healthy eating habits, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress, interventions, and outcomes
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Current registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) with a valid state license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical dietetics, preferably in an outpatient setting
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, food science, and nutrition-related research
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
