We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a valued member of our Core Laboratory, you will play a critical role in providing clinical services to our patient population.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical analysis in the Department of Laboratories, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Conduct routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, adhering to established protocols.
- Adhere to all quality control policies and procedures, maintaining the highest standards of excellence.
- Proficiently use computer protocols as assigned, ensuring seamless integration with our laboratory systems.
- Interact professionally with nursing staff, physicians, support staff, peers, and other hospital community members.
- Perform other clinical duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our laboratory team.
- NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with 0-2 years of demonstrated relevant experience.
- SL-2: NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with 3-5 years of demonstrated relevant experience.
- SL-3: NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or documented eligibility, including provisional/limited permit eligibility with a minimum 6 years demonstrated relevant experience.
- Generalist with a strong background in Hematology and Chemistry.
- Night Shift Experience.
- ASCP or Equivalent.
- Master's Degree.
