  • Build Rapport: Build rapport with guests by providing above-and-beyond service, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Confirm Orders: Confirm guest orders, including any special needs or requests, using our point-of-sales system and checking completed orders with the guest's original order.
  • Anticipate Needs: Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, responding urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Service and Take Orders: Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area, offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item's origin, taste, and preparation methods.
  • Assist with Inventory: Assist with bar inventory and set-up and cleaning of operational areas.
  • Perform Other Tasks: Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of bartending or related work experience.
  • Certifications: Must be able to obtain any required food handling or alcohol serving certifications required by local or state agencies.
  • Hotel/Resort Experience: Hotel/resort experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Portland and Surrounding Areas: Knowledge of Portland and surrounding areas highly desirable, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to be on feet for entire shift and communicate with guests effectively.
  • Attitude and Schedule: Above-and-beyond attitude required, with ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings, and a flexible schedule.
  • Interpersonal and Team Player Skills: Strong interpersonal and team player skills, with ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
