Position Overview:
The main objective of this role is to ensure a tidy, organized, and efficient environment for both staff and customers.
Key Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver outstanding customer service by adhering to Customer Service Fundamentals in all customer interactions.
- Regularly clean store floors, parking areas, and sidewalks.
- Gather shopping carts and maintain the external premises free from litter and debris.
- Ensure cleanliness of entryway windows, glass doors, and other high-traffic surfaces.
- Collaborate with management to monitor and manage inventory expiration dates.
- Perform spot cleaning as necessary.
- Restock shelves while following proper rotation and merchandising standards.
- Maintain restroom cleanliness and replenish supplies as scheduled during shifts.
- Carry out light maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs and managing waste disposal.
- Follow task calendars and execute light maintenance and preventative upkeep of equipment.
- Comprehend and adhere to safety data sheets for cleaning agents.
- Oversee gas station service areas to ensure cleanliness and adequate supply levels.
- Assist in various areas and undertake additional responsibilities as required, including occasional cashier and deli tasks such as:
- Utilizing the POS system for transactions.
- Weighing, packaging, and pricing deli products for customers.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 1-year experience in the retail sector
