Position Summary:
We are seeking a committed and empathetic Evening Nursing Supervisor (LPN/RN) to enhance our nursing team. In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring high standards of care, overseeing medication administration, supervising staff, and maintaining patient satisfaction during the evening shift. You will also liaise with patients, their families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to foster a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and assess the performance of nursing assistants and other personnel during the evening shift.
  • Deliver direct nursing care to patients as necessary, including treatments, procedures, and documentation.
  • Administer medications and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
  • Coordinate patient care with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Ensure adherence to nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Respond to emergencies and manage complex situations effectively.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, medications, and discharge plans.
  • Maintain patient and employee records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • Valid LPN or RN license in the state of employment.
  • BLS certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Familiarity with current nursing practices and trends.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in prioritizing and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with patients, families, and staff.
  • Willingness to work evening shifts and weekends as required.
