Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist III to join our team at Dayton Children's. As a member of our multi-disciplinary healthcare team, you will provide medically prescribed general, intermediate, and intensive respiratory care to our pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and airway clearance techniques to patients
  • Assist with ventilation techniques, blood gas sampling, and non-invasive blood gas monitoring
  • Manage airways, perform CPR, and conduct bedside pulmonary function testing
  • Provide patient and parent education, home care instruction, and smoking cessation counseling
Department Overview

The pediatric respiratory care team at Dayton Children's is comprised of licensed respiratory care professionals who work closely with physicians, nurses, and other specialists to provide high-quality care. Our team provides care for children of all ages, helping to treat respiratory diseases and illnesses, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, and congenital diseases.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree in respiratory therapy or related field
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license in Ohio
Work Schedule

This part-time position requires 24 hours per week, with the option to work days or nights. Every other weekend is required.
