Fuel and Lube Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable Fuel and Lube Truck Driver with a Class E License to deliver fuel and lubricants to machinery and equipment at job sites. The role involves safe fuel handling, lubricating machinery, and performing basic equipment inspections. This position does not require a CDL or HAZMAT endorsement but requires the driver to have a valid Class E license and experience in handling fuel and lubricants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fuel and Lubricant Delivery: Safely load, transport, and deliver fuel and lubricants to job site machinery according to scheduled routes using a truck that requires a Class E license.
- Lubrication Services: Provide lubrication to heavy machinery and equipment following manufacturer guidelines and site-specific needs.
- Basic Equipment Inspection: Check machinery for any visible signs of damage, leaks, or malfunctions during fuel and lube services, and report any concerns to supervisors.
- Fuel and Lube Transfer: Use pumps, hoses, and nozzles to safely transfer fuel and lubricants to the appropriate equipment, ensuring no spillage or leaks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols, industry standards, and environmental regulations during deliveries and servicing activities.
- Preventive Maintenance: Assist with preventive maintenance by lubricating essential components such as bearings, gears, and moving parts of machinery.
- Customer Communication: Communicate with job site personnel to ensure timely and accurate fuel and lubrication services, addressing any specific site needs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, fuel usage, lubrication services, and any observed mechanical issues. Ensure all paperwork is completed according to company policies.
- Truck Maintenance: Conduct regular checks of the truck and delivery equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet all safety standards.
- Job Site Awareness: Be mindful of job site conditions and potential hazards that could impact the delivery or equipment being serviced.
- Valid Class E Driver's License (required).
- Previous experience in fuel and lubrication delivery or a related field preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery and lubrication procedures.
- Ability to perform basic truck and equipment safety checks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to lift and handle hoses, pumps, and lubrication equipment.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and climbing.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- The role involves delivering fuel and lubricants outdoors at job sites.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, fuel and oil fumes, and job site machinery.
