Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Utility Plant Operator 2 to join our team at the South Mountain Restoration Center in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating our boiler plants to meet the center's steam requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and operate boilers, feed water pumps, forced draft fans, condensate return pumps, fuel oil pumps, air compressors, water softeners, chemical feed pumps, air dryers, PRV stations, and controls for pressure, level, and temperature.
  • Operate the emergency generator plant and manually transfer electrical load when necessary.
  • Drive state vehicles to procure parts or supplies.
  • Act as a lead worker over semi-skilled utility plant staff.
Requirements
  • One year of experience as a Utility Plant Operator 1 or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Active Class C motor vehicle license.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
