Critical Care Technician

Job Summary:
The University of Miami Emergency Department is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Technician to join our team. As a Critical Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct drug utilization review studies and consult with medical practitioners on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors.
- Work closely with patients and healthcare providers to provide information and guidance about the effects of prescription drugs and help plan effective drug therapy programs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and support.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent Certification
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Paramedic (PMD) License
- BLS-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/ ACLS / PALS Certification
- 6 months experience working in healthcare preferred
