Dental Hygienist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at The Doc Hunters in Pipestone, MN. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality oral care and education to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth.
  • Offer personalized oral hygiene advice and demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques to maintain oral health between visits.
  • Examine patients' gums and teeth for signs of oral disease or abnormalities, such as gingivitis or oral cancer, and report findings to the dentist.
  • Take and process dental X-rays as needed, ensuring proper positioning and protection of patients during imaging.
  • Document detailed notes of patient visits, including current conditions, treatments provided, and recommendations for follow-up care.
  • Apply preventive treatments, such as fluoride treatments and sealants, to strengthen teeth and prevent cavities.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures, providing necessary tools and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile environment by properly sanitizing instruments and equipment between patients, adhering to OSHA and infection control standards.
Requirements:
  • Valid Dental Hygienist license in MN.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, patient-friendly attitude.
  • Knowledge of dental software for charting and documentation.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • 1-year clinical experience preferred – open to new graduates.
