About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Systems Engineer/HVAC Specialist to join our team at Encova Insurance. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our critical infrastructure, including data centers and other mission-critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including chillers, pumps, and cooling towers
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and control systems and equipment
  • Operate UPS's, Generators, Automatic Transfer Switch's, Switchgear, Chillers, Variable Frequency Drive's, Motor Starters, Power Meters, Computer Based Control/Alarm systems, Fire Alarm, Security Alarm, CCTV and Card Access
  • Supervise external vendors to ensure regulations and operational procedures are followed
  • Review and update complex mechanical and electrical drawings
Requirements
  • 3+ years experience with HVAC in a data center or other Critical Environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft based programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Trade Certification or state license in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC)
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems
  • Knowledge of critical facilities operations
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems typically used in critical environments
  • Knowledge of QA/QC processes in a construction environment
