We are seeking a highly skilled WLAN Network Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining wireless networks for our clients.
Your primary focus will be on researching and developing new wireless technologies to optimize and maintain our clients' networks. This includes designing, testing, installing, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting wireless and LAN equipment.
You will work closely with internal departments and 3rd party vendors to integrate wireless equipment with current WAN and security infrastructure. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing wireless performance while fulfilling security requirements for user/device authentication, encryption, and intrusion detection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement wireless networks for clients
- Research and develop new wireless technologies
- Collaborate with internal departments and 3rd party vendors
- Optimize wireless performance and security
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of experience working in large enterprise network environments
- Ability to learn new products and technologies
- Ability to develop standard operating procedures and project documentation
- Related Network Engineering certifications (e.g., ACMP, ACCP CCIE)
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with experience in:
- Cisco Switches (3850 and 9300 experience preferred)
- Wireless Controllers (Aruba experience preferred)
- Guest registration web portal (Aruba ClearPass experience preferred)
