Position Summary and Requirements
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care by overseeing the complete occupational therapy process for a designated group of patients, in collaboration with physicians and the care team. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments and contributing to the development and execution of personalized care plans aimed at achieving patient goals and enhancing their experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and therapeutic interventions within the established legal and ethical guidelines.
- Assess and evaluate patients' rehabilitative and functional status, participating in care planning.
- Deliver skilled interaction and care, utilizing techniques to effect positive changes in patients' conditions.
- Monitor and report on patients' responses to treatment and any changes in their condition.
- Communicate essential payer requirements to the physician, treatment team, patients, and their families promptly.
- Manage caseload priorities, staffing needs, and coordinate assignments.
Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Georgia.
- Prior experience in a NICU setting is mandatory.
