Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Aerospace Finishing Technician is responsible for executing finishing operations on intricate machined components utilized in the aerospace sector. This role involves working under close supervision to carry out fundamental deburring tasks, including edge smoothing and basic surface enhancement. Technicians will utilize a range of basic deburring instruments, pneumatic tools, and hand finishing pads to refine the surfaces of parts. A key aspect of this position is the ability to comprehend and adhere to work instructions, including work orders and production travelers. Following training, employees will also be expected to manage shop transactions within the ERP system. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals with a solid mechanical understanding and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute basic deburring tasks on machined components.
  • Employ deburring tools and hand finishing methods to enhance machined parts.
  • Understand and follow work orders while documenting necessary transactions in the ERP system.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong mechanical understanding.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Experience Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 0-1 years of relevant work experience.

Educational Background:
GED or High School diploma is preferred but not essential.
