About the Role

Shields Health Care Group is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and maintain a fast-paced, multi-tasked clinical environment.
  • Inform patients of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding and ensure they are cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
  • Accurately position patients and ensure their comfort during exams.
  • Maintain visual and verbal contact with patients during exams and perform scans in accordance with center protocols.
  • Administer intravenous contrast and complete all forms pertaining to patient exams.
  • Record patient data and provide and issue films/CDs when appropriate.
  • Forward data and/or films/CDs to radiologists upon completion of exams and assist clerical staff as needed.
  • Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed and adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on credentialing policy.
Requirements
  • Prior MRI scanning experience and certifications in MRI/ARRT/CPR.
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills and ability to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties and participate in a call schedule/rotation (if required).
  • Physical ability to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
