MRI Technologist Assistant

Job SummaryThe Technologist Aide will provide a professional and caring atmosphere to all customer groups, assisting technical staff in maintaining a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure patient safety at all times by following proper policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Assist technologists in setting up the room, including setting up the proper coil for exams, ensuring clean linen, and making available any necessary items.
- Participate in the patient interview process, including conducting safety checks, gathering symptoms and history, and explaining procedures to patients.
- Assist technologists in setting patients up for exams, including aiding patients onto the table and ensuring all safety devices are in place.
- Assist technologists upon completion of exams, including removing patients from the bore and removing safety equipment.
- Aid patients off the table and assist them to the changing area.
- Assist in checking that all paperwork is complete and assist in retrieving prior paperwork and pertinent exams.
- Assist with data entry and cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- CPR certification required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to assist patients with mobility difficulties and lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
