Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate all construction operations.

  • Manage the construction timeline; proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee budget management.
  • Schedule necessary inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop work schedules and sequences.
  • Understand and adhere to project contract specifications and requirements.
  • Maintain an orderly job site, including the construction office.
  • Adhere to safety regulations by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours and weekends as project demands dictate.

  • Supervise all field personnel and subcontractors.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities and safety compliance.
  • Establish, implement, and uphold a quality assurance program tailored to the project, covering both self-performed and subcontracted work.

Physical Requirements:

  • Travel to and from project sites.
  • Relocate for out-of-town projects as necessary.
  • Ability to navigate various project areas, which may involve climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolding, as well as working at heights.
  • Capable of performing a range of physical activities, including sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, walking, and driving.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Meet vision standards, with or without corrective lenses.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily field office and site environments.
  • Minimal time spent in an office setting.
  • Exposure to varying noise and dust levels is expected.
  • Ability to work in diverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, humidity, and rain.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a lead superintendent in tilt wall warehouse or distribution construction. Preference for candidates with experience in concrete self-performing general contracting.
  • Effective communication skills with the public and colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of layout and equipment usage.
  • Proficient or willing to learn software such as Blue Beam, PlanGrid, Excel, Procore, and Project.
  • Understanding of construction terminology, scheduling, and planning principles.
  • Completion of safety training as per company and project requirements.
  • Ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Provide references from previous employment.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors effectively.
  • Must be a self-starter and a collaborative team player.
