Job Summary

Cayuga Health System is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical services in our Nuclear Medicine department, including preparation of radiopharmaceuticals and operation of imaging and monitoring equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging procedures, including administration of radioisotopes, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
  • Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide compassionate patient care, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all state regulations.
  • Assist with training and educating new staff members and students as needed.
  • Maintain all necessary credentials and CE credits to remain current in the field.
Requirements
  • NMTCB or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine.
  • New York State Department of Health License or eligibility.
  • NMTCB certification, plus CT certification or ARRT certification in NM and CT.
  • Education: Associates degree in Nuclear Medicine or graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine certificate program.
  • Experience: Prior experience preferred, but new graduates welcome.
  • Licensure: NYS NM, DX, or CT.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing work volumes.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, and safely transfer patients without assistance.
