Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to become a vital part of our team in Toledo, Ohio. This role involves overseeing the operation, inspection, and upkeep of all commercial building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire safety, and HVAC systems, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for ensuring safety while minimizing downtime through proactive performance evaluations and scheduled maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all relevant codes, regulations, and company policies regarding building operations and safety.
  • Manage, operate, and repair HVAC systems and related equipment, electrical distribution systems, plumbing infrastructure, and perform interior/exterior repairs as well as grounds maintenance.
  • Conduct inspections of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to verify that equipment operates within design specifications.
  • Execute assigned repairs, including emergency and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate external assistance when necessary.
  • Analyze historical maintenance records to create and implement proactive inspection and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in commercial building maintenance and HVAC certification is required.
  • This position necessitates the operation of company vehicles; therefore, a valid driver's license is essential.
