Job Summary

The Radiology Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Radiology department, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality patient care. This role will be responsible for maintaining payroll, staffing schedules, coordinating contracts, overseeing purchasing, participating in QA and CQI programs, and assisting with departmental policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate payroll and staffing schedules
  • Coordinate contracts and purchasing for the Radiology department
  • Participate in QA and CQI programs to ensure quality patient care
  • Assist with departmental policies and procedures
  • Run departmental statistics and reports
  • Participate in hiring and training new staff
  • Master the EMR system for SBSH & SBM, PAC's, DocPanel, and Life Image
  • Participate in regulatory inspections and accreditation processes
  • Prepare performance appraisals and maintain technologist employee files
  • Collaborate with modality leads to ensure preventative maintenance of imaging and breast center equipment
  • Assist with image and report storage, movement, and retrieval
  • Prepare reports for administration as directed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in purchasing, contracts, budget/finance, QA, P&P, HIT, data mining/analysis, and staffing responsibilities
  • Masters Degree preferred
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with all members of the healthcare team
  • Must be able to travel independently to off-site facilities outside the Hospital
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and ambulate for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to lift objects over 20 lbs
