As a key member of our senior leadership team, the Director of Facilities will be responsible for the overall management and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring that they are safe, secure, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management plan, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Supervise and manage a team of facilities staff, including custodians, maintenance personnel, and other support staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Develop and implement energy-efficient practices and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that facilities needs are met and that facilities are used efficiently.
- Develop and manage budgets for facilities-related expenses.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Rector or other senior leadership team members.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as facilities management, engineering, or architecture.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, with a strong background in maintenance and repair.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and quality.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, with the ability to ensure a safe working environment for staff and visitors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Master's degree in a related field, such as facilities management, engineering, or architecture.
- Certification in facilities management, such as CFM or FMP.
- Experience working in a church or non-profit setting.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient practices and sustainability initiatives.
