Job Description

The Director of Residential Services is a key leadership position at Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, responsible for overseeing the administration and supervision of residential programs and services. This role requires a strong background in social services, with a minimum of seven years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity.

The Director of Residential Services will provide oversight and consultation for the administration and supervision of residential programs, services, and facilities. This includes recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and supervising program staff, as well as appraising performance, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in the human services field and experience in administering multi-service, multi-site agencies with a residential component. They will be responsible for ensuring that all licensing, accreditation, contracts, rate agreements, Medicaid applications, and other standards for programs and services are met.

The Director of Residential Services will also be responsible for facilitating relationships between programs and services and with the main office, as well as maintaining relationships with District/Regional DCF, DJJ, Medicaid, or other agencies. They will work closely with the Vice President Program and program staff to ensure that all programs and services are fiscally accountable and that resources are maximized.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to positively represent the agency in a variety of settings. They will be well-organized, attentive to details, and task-oriented, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and consultation for the administration and supervision of residential programs, services, and facilities.
  • Recruit, select, orient, train, and supervise program staff.
  • Appraise performance, discipline, address complaints, and resolve problems.
  • Ensure that all licensing, accreditation, contracts, rate agreements, Medicaid applications, and other standards for programs and services are met.

Requirements:
