We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our team at Southeast Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring supplies for our hospital, clinics, and other facilities, while ensuring compliance with our procurement policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Administer the request and purchase order process via Workday
- Proactively manage and reconcile open purchase orders to ensure receiving and match exceptions
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies specific to pricing, receiving, and match exceptions
- Manage delivery schedules while considering optimum inventory levels for invoice stock locations
- Create and manage returns
- Assist the Purchasing Manager in establishing business processes to maximize efficiency, speed, and accuracy of purchase order volumes
- Assist customers in the Workday requisitioning process
- Understand the use of Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and local contracts
- Work collaboratively with other department managers and directors to improve purchasing efficiency and processes
- Minimum Education: Associate's degree in business, supply chain management, or accounting
- Minimum Experience: One year's experience with emphasis on basic business, supply chain management, or accounting
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or accounting
- Preferred Experience: Three years' experience with emphasis on basic business, supply chain management, or accounting
- Able to work in a high-volume, extremely detailed-oriented office environment
- Deliver high-quality customer service (professionalism, patience, and a people-first attitude)
- Self-starter able to work as a team member and team leader, able to achieve objectives and maintain flexibility in approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation
- Adaptable and flexibility to changing management protocols
This is a regular full-time position working 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
