We are seeking a skilled Bridge Carpenter Foreperson to lead our carpentry crew in constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard. As a key member of our Structures Division, you will be responsible for training and directing the crew to ensure high-quality work and adherence to local building codes.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for the crew
- Read and interpret blueprints and job-related documents to plan and execute work
- Record daily events and track progress to ensure timely completion of projects
- Schedule materials, equipment, and work for the crew to optimize efficiency
- Communicate effectively with the crew, customer representatives, and inspectors to ensure smooth project execution
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of carpentry and construction principles
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job-related documents
- Strong leadership and communication skills
