Position Overview:


Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LPN plays a vital role in patient assessment by gathering data for RN analysis.

Responsibilities include executing care plans, conducting specimen collection, and providing wound care. The LPN may also administer medications and document patient care. Assisting the RN in developing care plans and supporting patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility is essential. Monitoring and communicating patient status and responses to interventions with the RN, physician, patients, and families is crucial. The LPN advocates for the physical and emotional health of patients.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program is required.

Skills Required:

Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision are essential. The candidate must be capable of functioning in a high-pressure environment and taking appropriate actions.

Certifications:

AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Licensure:

Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in North Carolina or from a Compact.
