OVERVIEW
Organize and manage shipments to clients based on order volumes; consolidate deliveries to optimize trailer space and reduce expenses.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule delivery appointments for planned shipments. Arrange customer pickups. Generate invoices for all shipments. Coordinate with logistics regarding all outgoing shipments and delivery schedules. Must be certified to operate a forklift safely.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

Strong communication abilities. Capable of reading and interpreting documents such as sales reports, safety regulations, operational and maintenance guidelines, training manuals, and procedural documents. Proficient in writing standard reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to groups of customers or employees.

REASONING SKILLS

Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or visual formats. Capable of resolving various issues and managing situations with limited information or standard procedures.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITIES

Proficient in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all measurement units. Ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and determine figures such as discounts, costs, proportions, and volumes.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
The candidate should possess knowledge and skills in the following areas:

Proficient in data entry applications. Familiarity with quality standards, including ISO and QS. Understanding of office equipment and its capabilities to ensure efficient operations. This role also supports the Service Manager in training and educating staff.

Compliance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to wage and hour laws, environmental and waste reduction practices, company policies, and personnel regulations including OSHA, DEQ, and EEO.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those required for an employee to successfully execute the responsibilities of this position.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and communicate. The employee may occasionally need to use hands for handling, reaching, and bending. Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The characteristics of the work environment described here are typical of those encountered while performing the functions of this position. While executing the responsibilities of this role, the employee is regularly exposed to moving machinery in the work area. The employee may occasionally encounter wet and/or humid conditions, as well as varying temperatures depending on the season. The noise level in the work environment is generally loud.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED is required.

Candidates with the following qualifications are preferred:

Experience with Microsoft Excel. Previous work experience in the corrugated industry. Prior experience as a forklift operator.
