Responsibilities:

The incumbent provides effective consultation and support for organizational decision making through high-level analysis, data mining of financial and operational data, and effective reporting.

Assists all levels of management in budgetary development and monitoring.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of decision support systems, cost accounting principles, and accounting systems
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must possess general knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies (per diem, per case, capitation, indemnity, etc)
  • Must demonstrate high level analytical skills with focus on business analysis and secondary focus on systems analysis
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Minimum 2 years experience using Excel to maintain spreadsheets and perform data manipulation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with staff and senior management
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work with multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years experience working with a cost accounting system
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
