Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Echo Sonographer to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our cardiac sonography team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring our sonographers, ensuring the highest quality patient care and imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor sonographers in performing complex echocardiograms, including TTE, stress echocardiograms, and advanced imaging techniques.
  • Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient use of resources, including equipment and personnel.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and imaging quality.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Provide education and training to sonographers and other staff members on new technologies and procedures.
  • Participate in departmental projects and shared governance activities to drive innovation and excellence in cardiac sonography.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a cardiac sonographer, with prior lead/supervisor experience.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) certification.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and imaging results.
