Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Echo Sonographer to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. As a key member of our cardiac sonography department, you will be responsible for leading a team of sonographers and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of sonographers in performing cardiac ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms and stress tests.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Provide education and training to sonographers and other staff members on new procedures and technologies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a cardiac sonographer, with at least 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in radiology information systems (RIS) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS).
