Position Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Diagnostic Sonographer will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services. This position involves the use of advanced ultrasound technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Section Leader of Mammography/Sonography, the successful candidate will:
- Utilize high-frequency sound waves and various diagnostic methods to produce and assess ultrasound images.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure accurate diagnostic results.

Qualifications
Education:
- Completion of an accredited educational program that qualifies for ARDMS registry eligibility.

Experience:
- Previous experience in a sonography role is highly preferred.

Licensure and Certification:
- Current ARDMS registration is required; candidates who are ARDMS-eligible must obtain registration within one year of employment.

Additional Requirements:
- BLS certification for healthcare providers is mandatory.

Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in ultrasound scanning techniques across various specialties, including vascular, OBGYN, abdominal, and small parts.
- Strong understanding of medical, radiological, and sonographic terminology, both written and oral.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and its correlation with anatomical structures.
- Ability to identify and interpret pathological conditions.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Competence in computer operations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
