About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our dialysis team at Health Systems Management, Inc. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate hemodialysis machines
  • Greet patients, collect vital signs, and report any concerns to the lead nurse
  • Assist with patient vascular access preparation and cannulation
  • Initiate, monitor, and discontinue dialysis treatment according to policies and procedures
  • Document patient information and vital signs
  • Perform fluid removal calculations and document patient data
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report to the lead nurse
  • Respond to emergency situations and maintain patient safety
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work long hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must pass the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) exam within 18 months of employment
  • Must have or obtain Basic Life Support certification approved by the American Heart Association
