Quality Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our client at a reputable food packaging company. As the Quality Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of their food products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust food safety and quality management systems.
  • Ensure that the SQF system is effectively implemented, reviewed, and maintained.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and quality management systems.
  • Prepare the company for SQF certification audits.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Conduct internal audits and address any non-conformities promptly.
  • Identify areas for process improvement related to quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Train employees on food safety practices, HACCP principles, and SQF requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a USDA-inspected facility.
  • Certified SQF Practitioner (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP-based food safety plans.
  • Familiarity with the SQF Food Safety Code: Food Manufacturing.
