We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Travel Coordinator to join our team at Alabama A&M University. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing travel reports, analyzing invoices, and communicating with university faculty, staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities- Travel Request Processing: Process travel requests and expenses reports in SAP Concur and traditional paper form for student travel.
- Invoice Analysis: Analyze invoices, receipts, and other documentation for accuracy, verifying the completeness of documentation to approve, deny, and clear travel charges incurred.
- Communication: Communicate with University faculty, staff, and students related to travel.
- Training and Development: Conduct trainings with the University faculty and staff on SAP Concur travel management system.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure that all travel follows the University and Alabama State policy and procedure.
- Encumbrance Liquidations: Process monthly liquidations for travel encumbrances.
- Travel Advances: Process reconciliations for travel advances.
- Relationship Building: Maintain relationships with all Faculty, Staff, and Student.
- Efficient Processing: Process requests in an efficient and timely manner.
- Professional Development: Attend travel trainings and professional development trainings to stay abreast of information pertaining to travel.
- Education: B.S. Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting or related field.
- Experience: One (1) - Two (2) years of professional level experience with customers, travel, reconciliation and compliance.
- Customer Service: Two (2) - Three (3) years of customer service experience.
- Software Skills: Must have a detailed understanding of, and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Pro software.
- State of Alabama Travel Regulations: Knowledge of State of Alabama travel regulations.
- Computer Applications: Knowledge of computer applications such as Ellucian Banner, Excel, and MS Word.
