Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Boiler Operations Specialist to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a key member of our Environmental Service Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boiler systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine safety checks on boiler systems, tanks, pumps, and motors to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential hazards.
- Monitor boiler plant conditions and make logbook entries as required.
- Assure steam generation to meet the needs of our facilities, including heat, hot water, and central supply.
- Maintain fuel levels and ensure accurate documentation and records.
- Repair and maintain water softeners for domestic cold-water pumps.
- Test and adjust chemical composition in boiler water treatment as needed.
- Respond to requests from hospital staff when boilers are turned down to low pressure.
- Perform general cleaning and preventive maintenance on all boiler room equipment.
- Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and other resources.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0-3 years of experience in Boiler Operations or a related field.
- NJ Black Seal, High Pressure license.
