Christus Health is seeking a highly skilled Ophthalmic Assistant Certified to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Assistant Certified, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and education in a fast-paced ophthalmology clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality ophthalmic procedures, focusing on patient care and education.
- Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Assist physicians in patient care, collect patient history, and perform patient education.
- Perform technical workups, including visual acuity, lensometry, color vision, visual field tests, and other special testing as directed by physician.
- Follow physician protocol for A-Scans and fill in at Special Testing when needed.
- High School Diploma required.
- Graduate of accredited Vision program preferred.
- 1 year of experience working at an Ophthalmology clinic setting required.
- BLS required.
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) from IJCAHPO required.
- Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) preferred.
Full-time position with a TBD work schedule.
