**Your Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled **Trading and Operations Software Engineer** to join our Trading & Operations Development team. As a key member of this team, you will work closely with senior software engineers, product managers, and business users to design, develop, deploy, and maintain our Trading, Operations, and Treasury systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing, developing, deploying, and supporting.NET Core microservices to enhance our trading, settlement, and counterparty selection processes
  • Supporting and maintaining third-party trading systems, including configuring features, customizing behavior, and integrating with internal applications
  • Collaborating with our Trading, Operations, and Treasury teams to deliver new functionality, resolve issues, answer questions, and provide an exceptional user experience
  • Identifying opportunities for automation or process improvement, ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently
  • Working closely with colleagues within the team and the broader tech organization to share knowledge, learn new skills, and build systems that meet the needs of our users

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least five years of experience building software in an object-oriented language
  • Proficiency in C# microservices, modern web development, and SQL Server
  • A strong focus on clean code and automated tests, underpinned by solid computer science fundamentals
  • A passion for technology and software design, with a commitment to excellence and a drive to continuously improve
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment and strong communication skills
  • Experience working in a buy-side asset manager or other financial services firm

**Nice to Have**

  • Experience with Angular web application development
  • Exposure to a range of technologies, including message queues and distributed caches
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for staying up-to-date with new tools and techniques
  • Understanding of software design patterns and common anti-patterns
