Position Overview

Atlantic Health System is in search of a full-time Surgical Services Technician II to join our Operating Room team, working in a dynamic environment with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assist in surgical procedures within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary surgical department.
  • Follow established AORN Standards and implement aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient safety and outcomes.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of various surgical procedures, ensuring efficient and safe transitions through effective teamwork and communication.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program is required.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in an operating room setting is highly preferred.

Certifications:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
