The APP functions as an educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. This individual makes patient rounds in the hospital and may be required to take call.
Responsibilities
• Provide healthcare to patients with an emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, and health maintenance
• Work independently and collaboratively to diagnose, prescribe treatment, manage, and evaluate patient care
• Function as an educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate
• Make patient rounds in the hospital and may be required to take call
Qualifications
• Work Experience: Three years as an RN
• Education: Master Degree
• Certification: National Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner, and Registered Nurse
• Certification (Desired): Certified Surgical First Assistant or Surgical Assistant Certified
