Principal Construction Manager

MNS Engineers, Inc. is a leading infrastructure consulting firm offering planning, construction management, civil engineering, and surveying services throughout California. We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Construction Manager to lead our Water Resources Division.
Key Responsibilities- Provide program-level leadership for the Water Resources Division, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve market sector financial performance metrics.
- Serve as Resident Engineer or Construction Manager on projects as appropriate.
- Utilize effective communication skills to ensure quality, timeliness, and profitability with internal and client staff.
- Resolve complex project obstacles and supervise CM project staff and teams.
- Manage projects with efficient delivery and high-quality standards.
- Lead planning and scheduling efforts for multiple project integration.
- Guide development of CM subprograms and assist with significant program positioning and proposal efforts.
- Interface with Headquarters and Business Development staff to identify and track business opportunities.
- Attend industry events and conferences for client networking purposes.
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and project contracting.
- Assist with strategic staffing activities and recruitment efforts.
- Monitor and take responsibility for profitability.
- BS in Civil Engineering or transitional field required.
- California registered Professional Engineer (PE) required.
- Valid California Class C driver's license and an insurable driver's record required.
- 15 years of industry experience with increasing levels of knowledge, responsibility, and leadership requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to learn and utilize Deltek Vision software.
- Interacts well with other staff.
- Large diameter sewer and water pipeline, including trenchless installations.
- Water and wastewater treatment plants, including membrane filtration technology.
- Sewer lift stations.
- Booster pump stations.
- Groundwater wells.
- Stormwater diversion, capture, and treatment.
- Flood control infrastructure.
- SCADA installation, integration, and startup commissioning.
