The Role

The Retail Cashier is a key member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and selling merchandise to clients. This role requires a strong focus on client satisfaction, with a commitment to exceeding expectations.

Essential Functions
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
  • Maintain a consistent and professional attitude, with a focus on making a lasting impression.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and operating the point-of-sale system.
  • Ensure that all merchandise is correctly labeled and displayed, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Identify and report any security risks or thefts to management and security personnel.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of merchandise, including products, pricing, and promotions.
  • Provide recommendations and assistance to clients, helping them to find the perfect products.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of our clients.
Qualifications
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on exceeding client expectations.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting sales goals and objectives.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle money and count change.
  • Must be 18 years or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Compensation

Working Conditions

The physical demands of this role include sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands to finger and handle controls. The employee must be able to stand, walk, and stoop, with specific vision abilities required for close vision and adjusting focus.
