The Financial Patient Liaison plays a crucial role in facilitating and managing all facets of Account Services within our Central Billing Office. This position is designed to cultivate a patient-centered environment by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of third-party payer policies, eCommunity's financial resources, and local support services. The advocate will proactively engage with patients to ensure that the financial clearance process is efficiently completed for all applicants. Utilizing strong interpersonal skills, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities, the Financial Patient Liaison will educate and assist both internal and external clients in finding solutions that enhance the resolution process while ensuring the financial sustainability of our network. The primary responsibility is to swiftly and accurately address patient needs, presenting viable options for resolution, which minimizes escalations and appeals while increasing patient awareness of available resources, ultimately improving satisfaction outcomes for Client Services and eCommunity.
Your Unique Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional listening skills with the ability to recognize non-verbal cues and communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Proficient in coordinating, prioritizing, and executing multiple projects from inception to completion
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, staff, and healthcare providers
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation to deliver an outstanding experience
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital or physician's office, with a solid understanding of billing processes
