Job Description

As a Senior Automation Engineer at Oracle Defunct, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and troubleshooting software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks. You will work closely with the software engineering division to define and develop software for tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks.
  • Provide technical leadership to other software developers and assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems.
  • Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
  • Work with the development team and product managers to validate product requirements and create high-quality test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Collaborate with remote teams spread across time zones (USA, India, Mexico) to work on stabilizing and improving existing customer experience while modernizing with newer cloud technologies.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of software development experience, especially in highly scalable, available, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Strong algorithmic skills, effective communication skills (written and spoken), and strong problem-resolution skills.
  • Very good object-oriented programming skills, preferably Java.
  • Experience with technologies like Spring, RESTful web services, microservice architecture.
  • Knowledge of Maven, Chef, Oracle DB, Jmockit, Authorization concepts, GIT, Grafana, YAML.
  • OCI certification is a plus.
  • Experiences in scripting languages is a plus.
  • Experiences with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Google Cloud), cloud technologies/deployments.
  • Experience in continuous delivery, deployment, and monitoring of cloud-based services.
