This role is crucial in converting AffiniPay's partnership and affinity agreements into actionable insights that enable us to meet our contractual obligations. The successful candidate will collaborate with Finance and Partnerships to assess the implications of decisions on our partnership network and work alongside Data Engineering to streamline and enhance these processes.

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of payment processing and financial technology, ideal for anyone eager to deepen their understanding of this industry. It will also provide exposure to applied analytics at scale within the fintech and legal sectors.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Finance & Partnerships to compute royalties for AffiniPay's partner and affinity network.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to uncover underlying trends and factors affecting transaction volumes across the AffiniPay ecosystem.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Finance to automate the royalty calculation process wherever feasible.
  • Engage with various teams within AffiniPay to monitor and analyze data, delivering actionable insights.
  • Examine historical data, establish best practices, and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Create engaging, interactive visualizations to assist stakeholders in understanding their business areas and making informed decisions.
  • Oversee all phases of the data lifecycle (Collection, measurement, analysis, interpretation, presentation), providing both qualitative and quantitative analysis, and presenting findings with well-supported recommendations.
  • Translate and condense data into formats that facilitate quick decision-making for stakeholders.
  • Collect data from internal and external sources as necessary to provide a comprehensive view of challenges or opportunities.
  • Investigate data to identify patterns, significant relationships, anomalies, and trends.

About You:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in a Quantitative field (Statistics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering) or possess equivalent experience.
  • You are proficient in advanced data transformations using SQL and Excel.
  • You have experience with BI or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Domo, etc.).
  • You are skilled in data transformation, analysis, and visualization using Python.
  • You bring 2+ years of experience in banking, payment processing, or financial technology.
  • You are a collaborative team player with a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive, energetic approach in a fast-paced environment.
  • You possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data and its implications clearly and concisely, balancing technical and business perspectives.
