Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance availability, capability, and yield.
  • Conduct equipment failure analyses, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment problems.
  • Prepare technical reports to document equipment modifications and maintenance procedures.
  • Review production schedules, workflows, and other information to understand activities and processes.
  • Create and implement action plans to achieve maintenance department goals.
  • Assist in budget development and management, including ordering parts and supplies.
  • Maintain inventory levels of commonly used parts and supplies.
  • Participate in capital expenditure projects and provide technical support to employees and farm management.
  • Develop and implement control systems to decrease resource waste due to system malfunctions.
  • Accountable for weed management, including operating spraying tools and equipment.
  • Responsible for snow removal and operate heavy machinery as needed.
  • Safely and effectively operate small hand tools, hand power tools, and farm machinery.
  • Implement emergency response programs and train staff to identify and respond to emergencies.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including animal care and biosecurity protocols.
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant maintenance discipline, including Agro-Industrial Engineering, Agronomy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Sustainable Development and Engineering.
  • Minimum of one year of maintenance experience in an agriculture or manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Willingness to change plans as needed and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
