Clinical Nurse IV Leader

The Staff Nurse Leader is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for overseeing clinical functions related to patient care, quality of nursing practice, and standards of care for the assigned shift. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to coordinate patient care activities while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Directs staff and functions on the unit to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Maintains clinical nursing practice skills and unit-specific expertise to provide high-quality patient care.
- Coordinates patient care activities, including break relief coverage and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Serves as a role model and clinical resource to staff and patients, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
- Minimum of four years recent Perinatal nursing experience in Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby Unit, with at least two years in Labor & Delivery.
- Advanced AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification.
- Ability to work variable shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated understanding of patient classification system and staffing requirements for the patient population.
- ANCC or NCC recognized RN certification uniquely applicable to this specific unit.
- Bachelor of Science, Nursing degree.
- Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements.
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
