Job Description:

The Mechanical Technologist will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on a variety of vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, brake jobs, and minor tune-ups. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake jobs, and minor tune-ups.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Conduct diagnostic tests to identify worn and damaged parts, and recommend repairs as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment, including power and drive trains, electrical systems, and air conditioning units.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs, including annotating services and repairs.

Requirements:

  • Class A CDL License: A Class A CDL license is preferred, but not required.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: A strong mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Supply Management: Skilled in supply management, inventory control, and the use of mechanical inspection tools.
  • DOT Compliance: Knowledge of DOT compliance, laws, rules, and regulations is helpful.
