Soninke Language Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Soninke linguist to join our team at KACE. As a Soninke linguist, you will be responsible for performing real-time transcriptions of sensitive material from Soninke to English, collecting and analyzing colloquialisms and slang terms, and extracting pertinent information to communicate to law enforcement agents.
Key Responsibilities- Listen to oral intercepts and provide verbal and written synopsis and transcripts
- Relate all pertinent information to the client
- Contribute to a master-list of slang words and codes
- Transcribe and translate pertinent calls assigned by your supervisor
- Produce court-ready transcriptions of pertinent calls
- Operate specialized software equipment provided by the government
- Bachelor's degree
- Three years' experience in a professional setting
- Or Associate degree and five years' experience in a professional setting
- Or High School Diploma and seven years' experience
- Minimum of one year of transcription experience in the required language
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
Employees will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Employees supporting this contract are considered essential to the Federal Government.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance, pass a background investigation, and meet the conditions of employment.
