Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time Wetlands Animal Care Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting the care and well-being of ambassador animals, ensuring their health and safety, and assisting with outreach events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness of animal enclosures, handling, and facilities.
  • Observe and report any signs of illness, distress, or safety issues in animals.
  • Ensure animals have adequate food and water, and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Exercise animals in designated areas, following proper safety protocols.
  • Assist other staff members with exhibit preparation and maintenance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand oral and written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months of experience with exotic animal handling and care.
