About the Role

Cisco is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Engineering Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our High-End Routing team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge networking hardware, including FPGA implementation and system validation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop FPGA-based networking hardware, including control path FPGAs for various boards
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address development requirements and participate in system validation
  • Partner with the Software team to ensure smooth operation of the Software/Hardware system
  • Mentor junior engineers and lead meetings to drive issues to resolution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree and 8+ years of related experience
  • Experience with FPGA development, Verilog/System Verilog RTL coding, and industry-leading FPGA devices and tools
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to deal with system-level issues
Preferred Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree and 6+ years of related experience
  • Experience with UVM and/or VMM Verification methodology
  • Experience with advanced microprocessor-based design and low-level networking card debug
