As a Senior Aerospace Structural Engineer, you will engage in advanced aerospace structural engineering tasks that involve applying sophisticated theories, concepts, and methodologies to the development and maintenance of weapon systems and their components. You will act as a structural expert, focusing on design, analysis, and engineering development for essential structural systems. Your role will require you to conduct thorough analyses and utilize systematic approaches to execute, develop, and document engineering projects effectively.


Daily Duties:


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Applying professional aerospace structural engineering principles, practices, and standards to various projects.
  • Utilizing development testing and evaluation techniques to provide technical guidance and support for weapon systems and related equipment.
  • Overseeing the design, testing, and evaluation of integrated air-vehicles and ground systems.
  • Collaborating with other engineering disciplines and adhering to standard acquisition regulations.
  • Assessing new technologies and their implications for design approaches.
  • Communicating technical information clearly and effectively with peers, management, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
  • 5-12 years of experience in stress analysis and structural failure modes.
  • 5-12 years of experience in aircraft structures, fleet management, and structural repair.
  • 0-5 years of experience in airworthiness certification.
  • 0-5 years of experience in designing and analyzing structural repair concepts.

Additional Requirements:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and will undergo a government security investigation to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
